I did work on Luna but I forgot to take pictures. I did get to work on this though!
This is the piece after the bisque fire. I'm preparing it for glaze. What I did here was brush some iron oxide on it.
What the iron oxide does is it makes the piece darker. It also gets in the cracks and lines and makes them more prominent. Now of course I didn't want the entire thing dark, just the lines and creases. So what I did then was take a wet sponge and wipe the iron oxide off the areas I didn't want to be dark.
After I got done with that my teacher threw it back in the kiln for another quick bisque fire to make the iron oxide permanent.
When my teacher gets some more glaze mixed up (he was out of the color I wanted) then I can begin that process.
