I laugh every time Scootaloo gets her idea in Family Appreciation Day. It's so adorable and funny at the same time.
Decided to work mainly in Illustrator this time around. The only things I used PS for were some post processing stuff like adding a texture here, adjusting some colors there, and including my signature.
And just incase anyone was wondering, this came from an original sketch. This isn't a screen trace. I did use the scene as a reference though.
I actually recorded myself working on this in Illustrator but I'm on the fence about putting it together and uploading it since there's not a whole lot going on but me using the pen tool and blob tool. But let me know if you would like to see it and I'll make a decision according to everyone's feedback.
Hey, that is a pretty bright idea, long a she doesn't bump her head. She looks so excited over her idea, and definitely seems to be frozen in mid-air there. The decorative styles they use on glass is always pretty neat, so nice job capturing some of that too. The paper texture is pretty, and with Scootaloo "above" the background it seems like you could just push her up and down, over and over again, to play out how excited she really is.
